The Mail App helps you manage and effectively deal with Email Messages on your iPhone by allowing you to Flag Email Messages and also by making it possible for you to see all the Unread Email Messages in an Unread Emails Folder.
What's new in Outlook for Mac. The new Outlook has many new features and improved experiences, including: Customizable toolbar. Choose commands to display in the Toolbar. In the Toolbar, select the more icon, then Customize Toolbar. Improved search. Search is now powered by Microsoft Search and has better results and suggestions. To make the emails remain as unread unless you double click it to open them, you just need to set an option in Outlook as follows: 1. Click File Options, in the popped out Outlook Options dialog box, click Mail in the left pane, and then click Reading Pane button in the Outlook panes section, see screenshot. Select Unread mail from the Reading Mail group, and then select OK. In the Navigation Pane, click the plus sign (+) next to Search Folders to display its subfolders. Click the Unread Mail folder.
Unread Emails Folder on iPhone
The iOS Mail app has a hidden or an optional “Unread” Folder that allows you to see all the Unread Email Messages on your iPhone at a single convenient location.
True to its name, the “Unread” Folder displays only the Unread Email Messages in it, making it easy for you to focus only on the unread Email Messages and deal with them.
The Unread Emails Folder can be a great asset for those who receive tons of emails and find it difficult to go through a bunch of read and unread emails on a daily basis.
The “Unread” Folder or Mailbox is not available by default on your iPhone and it needs to be specifically enabled on your iPhone by following the steps as listed below in this article.
Enable Unread Emails Folder On iPhone
Follow the steps below to enable the Unread Emails Folder on your iPhone or iPad.
1. Open the Mail app on your iPhone.
2. Next, tap on Mailboxes, from the upper left corner of your screen (See image below).
3. On the Mailboxes screen, tap on Edit from the top-right corner of your screen.
4. On the next screen, tap on Unread. – This will put a check mark in the little circle next to Unread (See image below).
5. Next, tap on Done from the top right corner of your screen (See image above)
6. Once you tap on Done (in step 5 above), you will be back on the Mailboxes screen where you will find the newly enabled “Unread” Mailbox (See image below).
You will also see a number next to “Unread” Folder – This indicates the number of Unread Emails that you currently have in your Inbox.
7. Simply, tap on Unread to see all the Unread Email Messages received on your iPhone (See image in step 6 above)
You Can Also Search for Unread Emails On iPhone
It is worth noting that the Unread Emails Folder displays all the Unread Emails as received in your Main Inbox. It cannot display Unread Messages in case they are received in other Mailboxes that you may have created on your iPhone.
In case you have other Mailboxes on your iPhone (apart from Inbox), it is recommended that you also look for Unread Email Messages in those other Folders or search for all the unread Email Messages on your iPhone by following the steps below.
1. Open the Mail App on your iPhone or iPad
2. Next, slide your finger from top to the bottom of your iPhone to bring up a Search box at the top of your screen (See image below).

Tapping on the proper suggested search result for “Unread” will immediately bring up all the Unread Email Messages on the screen of your iPhone.
At Ignite 2019, Microsoft announced an all-new Outlook for Mac experience with redesigned UI, improved performance and several new features. Back in June, this new Outlook experience was released as part of Insider Fast Build 16.38 (20052800) for Outlook for Mac users. Yesterday, Microsoft announced the release of the new Outlook for Mac for Insider Slow users. - People view? – The new Outlook for Mac comes with a completely revamped People view.
